چکیده
Thanks to the cantilever launching technique, arch bridge building has once again become popular throughout world. Today, these structures are one of three main types long-span bridges, along with suspension and cable-stayed bridges. Arch have a complex behavior during powerful earthquakes because rib is an element that primarily susceptible large axial compression force brought on by dead loads. The nonlinear dynamic analysis using STAAD Pro V8i software earthquake loading subject this research. Due their easy load bearing qualities, bridges short medium spans currently being constructed frequently for traffic bypass. Therefore, it necessary assess its stability in event earthquake. STAAD-modeled bridge's nonlinear, time history analysis. research study uses pro. For Time History analysis, data from Bhuj Earthquake 2001 used, Rudramata Bridge, which collapsed Earthquake, researched. primary focus displacement, time-velocity, time- acceleration responses lateral And results demonstrate displacement less than Bridge all directions.

In this paper, pile behavior embedded in layered soil deposits subjected to seismic loadings is analyzed using a nonlinear fiber element for simulation of soil – pile interactions. In the created model, both pile and surrounding soil are modeled using fiber elements in a practical Beam on Nonlinear Winkler Foundation (BNWF) concept. Herein, the features of DRAIN–3DX finite element software are ...

متن کاملOPTIMUM PERFORMANCE-BASED DESIGN OF CONCENTRICALLY BRACED STEEL FRAMES SUBJECTED TO NEAR-FAULT GROUND MOTION EXCITATIONS
This paper presents a practical methodology for optimization of concentrically braced steel frames subjected to forward directivity near-fault ground motions, based on the concept of uniform deformation theory. This is performed by gradually shifting inefficient material from strong parts of the structure to the weak areas until a state of uniform deformation is achieved. In this regard, to ove...
متن کاملnon-linear study of various slit shear walls in steel structures
seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...
